Vital Food

First up, a basic kit you must ALWAYS carry on ANY voyage, however 'planned-to-be' short, are:

Water, water, and water

Pleasant survival snacks (mine are jelly snakes, jelly forest-fruit-flavour, breakfast bars (in water-tight freezer bags)

Something to ward off seasickness (my best-est are: ginger crystals, Fisherman's Friend)

Store

1) small items in a pocket of the clothes you wear and/or as a grab bag or at an easily-grabbed-from location (including your bunk).
2) larger quantity in a grab bag at an easy-to-find place in the galley

(More to add and edit)
